What resources are available for small businesses? 

The NC 211 database has resources available to support small businesses. Search “small business” on our home page and you will find a number of resources (most free of charge) to help support and develop your business. You can also call us at 2-1-1 and speak with a call specialist.

What organizations help small businesses? 

Score: Offering mentoring and education with a network of volunteer mentors. 

Business Link North Carolina: Provided by the North Carolina Department of Commerce. Offers free phone consultations and connections with resources including information on regulatory and licensing requirements.

Small Business and Development Training Center: Provides management counseling and educational services. Most services are free of charge. The SBTDC is an extension program of the UNC system and funded by the US Small Business Administration.
