Hurricane Helene Volunteer Opportunities

Do not go to a disaster area to volunteer. Until a disaster area has been declared safe to enter and volunteer needs are identified, stay home and donate instead. Volunteers should only come once they have been given an assignment with an established organization that has asked for assistance.

Visit the following websites to search for volunteer opportunities in your area:

ncvoad.org/volunteer/ is a website operated by North Carolina Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster, providing safe, experienced NC VOAD partnerships you can donate with. Hurricane Helene volunteer opportunities are posted!

They will work with teams from either Baptist on Mission or Samaritans purse helping with a variety of tasks from clean-up to serving meals. Because this is a developing situation details are still forthcoming. Please note, accommodations may be sparse, there will be costs associated with lodging and food. All of this will be communicated in a timely manner.
