Small Business Saturday is November 28, 2020. Every year, this day is a way to support and recognize local small businesses. The pandemic has presented challenges, particularly for small businesses. Many of them are open now and have made adjustments to their services in order to be able to provide products and services safely.
What resources are available for small businesses?
The NC 211 database has resources available to support small businesses. Search “small business” on our home page and you will find a number of resources (most free of charge) to help support and develop your business. You can also call us at 2-1-1 and speak with a call specialist.
What organizations help small businesses?
Score: Offering mentoring and education with a network of volunteer mentors.
Business Link North Carolina: Provided by the North Carolina Department of Commerce. Offers free phone consultations and connections with resources including information on regulatory and licensing requirements.
Small Business and Development Training Center: Provides management counseling and educational services. Most services are free of charge. The SBTDC is an extension program of the UNC system and funded by the US Small Business Administration.
